Karun is a composer, music producer, and musician based between Melbourne and Utrecht. 

His musical approach is rooted in the integration of diverse stylistic elements and the fusion of electronic and acoustic textures. This creative synthesis, coupled with his repertoire spanning jazz, rock, hip-hop, R&B, funk, electronic music, and Indian Folk Music, underscores his innovative sound.

On the commercial front, Karun scores and creates catalogues of music for visual media in the realms of film, television, advertising and sonic branding projects. Independently, he produces and releases music with other artists and comprises one-half of the musician-producer duo KDRC. 

Since September 2024, Karun has begun a long-term artistic research project, undertaking a practice-based PhD at RMIT Melbourne. Through his research, Karun explores music production practices across various media through the lens of Design, in an effort to map and streamline existing production models and workflows.
